Kyla Welch recognized by Plymouth State University
This past Saturday, SAU 48 Superintendent, Kyla Welch, was recognized and received the 2022 PSU Outstanding Graduate Alumni Award. Plymouth State University stated, "Kyla led her school district through the difficulties of the pandemic with compassion and intelligence, clearly communicating through multiple channels with regular updates on the realities, challenges and changes. Through it all Kyla kept student learning at the forefront while never compromising safety and health." PSU also recognized the partnership SAU 48 has with PSU as one of growth and expansion. Kyla resides in Thornton with her husband Ryan and Son Dylan and daughter Mackenzie. On behalf of our town, we would like to say thank you and we appreciate you striving daily to create a strong sense of community not only within our SAU 48 school community, but with the outside community as well. Your hard work goes far beyond the school buildings!
