Plymouth Highway Department updates
Administration:
This week Joe worked with the Town contracted engineer to discuss the roads that the Town will be overseeing. The FEMA reports from December 2022 storms and the preparation for the upcoming annual budget reports have kept Joe busy. Assessment for basin cleaning should begin next week.
Crew Duties:
Road side mowing is now completed. Trees and grass have been cut on Green Street; on Langdon Park Road more trees were cut, and ditch work was completed. The culvert pipes on River Ridge Road were 100% plugged up with roots, and were subsequently cleaned. We had applied hot top on Langdon Street both sidewalk and roads.

Maintenance:
- sharpen/maintenance chainsaws used for tree cutting
- Replaced turbo and other parts required to complete repair in 2006 International
- Replaced broken front U-bolts on 2006 International
- Verify repairs to 2006 International
- Replaced steering gear/required parts on 2010 International
- Verify repair to 2010 International
- Cleaned shop after large repairs were completed
- Made a tool as asked for to help clean out culverts that are plugged with debris
- File receipts/expenses
- Returned parts for refunds on core charges both 2010 International and 2006 International
- Picked up inspection stickers and lock box, for State Inspections
Building:
Reiss Construction will be completing the framing for our new garage door replacement.
Training:
Still in progress with UNH T2 Program: The department had employees that were not enrolled in T2 UNH, enroll with the program. This will allow the staff to attend classes, training and get certified in areas that need certification.
Upcoming Events:
More tree trimming, application of hot top and Catch Basin cleaning.
