Highway Department Weekly Update - August 25th

The crew saw cut pavement, for the prep work for repaving infront of the Town Hall, both entrances to the Court House and Highland Street. With weekend rain events, our department spent Monday mornings cleaning off the catch basins and other road debris. Our department worked with the Parks and Recreation Department to help move a shed. We swept off the sand on all our bridges and did someroadside mowing. We worked with the Cemetery staff to help pull out bushes and rebuild an area of the granite wall with several of our Town cemeteries. The Highway Mechanic worked on several vehicle maintenance concerns and preventative maintenance.

Paving Projects:

The following paving projects were completed this week:  Sections of Merrill Street, Avery Street, Warren Street, and lower Pleasant Street are going to be repaired and paved. This is part of the process of rebuilding the streets, roads and sidewalks. Work will continue into next week with Roadside mowing.
